Are you kidding me? Is this even a valid question?? I think the answer to your question should be obvious after looking at the passionate hacker community, 3rd party application and just about GENERAL SEXINESS of the product in question.

the lg guys came 2 my office yest , got some viewty gear, its a nice fone with the "flash" os and 5mp is kinda over rated quality aint that good , although i like the handwriting recognition and divx certification , the video playback was kickass, also this baby has good editinnng features ,will upload a sample image from the phone, iphone targets a different league altoghether

If you arnt after the coolness factor and consider the feature list to be your primary deciding factor then i would suggest LG viewty

yeh wow it dont hve wifi...if i wanted wifi i would use my laptop..but yes it would be nice if i had wifi.I do get u but the lg i dont knw does good things. The reason i said that to u was coz like its a simple question and u cam out with, how can u even compare it..Thats all.Didnt wanna offened u or anything.

^^haha, yeah I might have over-reacted, but having seen and looked at both (since I write for a gadget-magazine and happen own an iPhone) I find the Viewty, at best, a shadow of the iPhone.
To be frank, the only thing I really miss in my iPhone is a better camera, and bluetooth file transfer. The rest, such as group-smsing etc. can all be done after 3rd party application support. Which is only going to grow larger, and more varied.
An underperforming camera and handicapped Bluetooth though are hardware-based issues, which no amount of 3rd-party apps can do anything about

btw those 3rd party apps will only be launched after apple chooses to release the SDK , but afaik the 3rd party app that would run on your phone should have been given a certificate from apple.
If you are unlocking your phone and can gain access to the FS then you are safe wrt to apps for iPhone.

no problem we both acted a bit silly lol...Oh okay wht magazine do u write for? also okay u own a iphone thats good? Could u tell me where u got it from etc? Cozi do wanna get it but here its only on contract and u cant buy it from anywhere else, that i knw of. Oh doesnt iphone have bluetooth?

^^I've replied to your questions in the other thread. Regarding Bluetooth, the iPhone does have Bluetooth but Apple's bluetooth hardware in the iPhone only supports pairing of headsets, nothing else. So you can't transfer files, you can't do bluetooth dial-up networking, you basically can't do anything using bluetooth except pair it with a shitty bluetooth headset.
