ipod touch 2g

i hav an ipod touch 2g (early bootrom) on fw2.2.1.
is it possible to jailbreak it?
i read on dev team's blog that, if it is not pre-jailbreak, i wont be able to jailbreak it on 3.x.x.
so i need to jailbreak it anyhow on its current fw.

so please help me with this.

Forgive my ignorance but I don't know what "early bootrom" is. What I do know is that any iPod 2G on firmware less than 3.1.1 can be jailbroken with blackra1n.

In fact check out Spirit

This is the new untethered jailbreak for all devices on all the latest firmwares.
