iPod Touch and Wi-Fi

I'm planning to buy a iPod Touch third generation soon.. Just had a few n00bish queries regarding internet on it..

1.How to set up a internet connection on it?
2.What else is required to start internet on it?
3.How much will be the cost?
4.Will internet work if I take the iPod out of my house?
 
u can use internet on ur ipod through wifi only. If u have an internet connection at ur home running through a modem then get that modem replaced by a wifi modem. And u'll be to use the net only in the area near ur home, basically it depends on the range of the wifi modem u purchase. Just got to settings->wifi->connect. It'll automactically start searching for the wifi modems in range. Just select urs and now open safari and browse in it.
