ipod Vs Sony 6GB player.. Qwik Suggestion needed Guys

i am plannin to Buy an ipod nano ..
2GB/4GB model ..
more inclined for the 4 GB model ..

or the Sony 6GB player..

i am gettin this one for 7k .. good enuf i think ..

can anyone tell me what mite be the tentative price in the US during this festive season for ipod nano 2GB / 4GB so that i leave out on the sony one and wait for my frnd to buy the ipod for me..??

also , wot do u ppl suggest out of these two in the longer run ..
 
buy sony mp3 players only if you are confortable using the sony software.In my view avoid all sony mp3 players.The players themselves are good but the software really really sucks!!!!

I have used the sony and its no where as good as the Ipod . Its UI sucks bigtime compared to the Ipod . The only good thing is the display but then again , its a very short lived novely . you may come to hate it or love it . but i hated it . If you dont plan to but anything other than stock headphones , they are of a quality worse than what is shipped with the ipod . and they are short in length as well .

Nano seems to be a very safe choice if you were to ask me.
 
yeah i heard that d interface really sux until one has got the Soni Connect ...
bt jst for the value 4 money deal i thought that this is a gud option ..

bt the thought which keeps haunting me is the ease of use of d ipod and the screen enabling me to use it for pics as well ..

4GB ipod nano for 10k .. worth it ...???
i mean this is from a dealer near my place.. wil it be cheaper if i get it from abroad (read US)...

last i checked it was somewhere around 8.5k for a 4gig nano at Alfa mumbai....no a bad deal if you think of size as a preference , otherwise i would have suggested a creative zen vision M or a Ipod 30 gig video avaiable for 12.5 k or a little more .

The advantage with IPOD is that there are many high end AV receiver has interface to Ipod (e.g. Yamaha) and controllable through single remote. So if you plan to connect your mp3 player to receiver, ipod will hvae edge.
 
theres no pint in going in for sony cos the sony software sucks big time....you are far better og with getting a nano...

however if u are getting the player from US, the Creative Zen Microphoto 8gb is a much better option at 8k cos it has many more features than the the nano...but it is HDD based and not flash based like the nano
