Oh man.... there you go, I was happy there for a second thinking they erased the notice and BAM you took my joy away!! LOL!! I'm turning off the client now and will check back in 30 and report back here.
What he says is true . Its the update interval difference

Yes I checked back a little while ago after stopping the seeding for about 45 minutes and that notice came back. Now I'm back to seeding again as usual on my Netbook and the message is gone.

Its seems he's not in the mood to type much, lol!

Anyways a little update that happened: I kept the seeding on full day and now came back from work and checked my Netbook and to my surprise found that the message in yellow which stated '2 torrents need seeding' which appeared before has vanished!! It's not there anymore and no HNR warning has appeared as well. :D
Yes because somethings should be done on there own.:p

BTW the Hit n Run do not go after 1 month [it goes away only after mods manually remove them after 1 month] automated way is 4 months.

Freeleech means m8 the download that you do will not count to your stats but however if it seeds back or uploads, it will count to your stats.

Here is the new rule :

Hello IPT members,

We are proud to announce that, as of today, we have a new system for Hit and running.

If you have any Hit and Runs, a text will appear next to your bonus points : " X Torrents Require Seeding "

Here is how the system works :

If seed ratio is lower than 1:1, the torrent will appear on that list. Once your seed ratio is higher than 1:1, the torrent will be removed from the list. This is referring to your Seed Ratio for torrents, not your Account Ratio displayed below the bottom left corner of the IPT Banner above.

If you downloaded 10% / 20% / etc. of a torrent that you are no longer leeching/seeding and your seed ratio is lower than 1, the torrent will appear on that list until you have a ratio higher than 1. For example, if you download only 1 movie out of a 100GB pack, you still have to seed that torrent to a 1.0 ratio. You don't have to upload 100GB on that torrent, just give back what you took from it.

If you want to remove a HNR (Hit and Run), you can do that using the "50 bonus points" option from the HNR page.

Important to know about our new system :

1. All torrents from IPT are checked and added to the system.

For example, if you download an OLD torrent and don't have a 1.0 ratio on it, it will be added to your HNR list. Even though there are no active users on that torrent for you to increase your ratio, you can continue seeding that torrent for a few days to get 50 bonus points and remove it from the list.

1.1. Users get 0.2 bonus points / hour. 0.2 * 1 torrent seeded for 24 hours = 4,8 bonus points / day. If you seed 10 torrents, for 24 hours, you get 48 bonus points / day.

2. Users who donated for a month of FreeLeech status will not see the " X Torrents Require Seeding " page.

3. Donors (VIP status) will not get any warnings from the HNR system.

4. The list updates every 30 minutes.

dinjo: Awww... thank-you so much for those words of wisdom! I feel all energetic and rejuvenated at the thought that certain things I need to do by myself. ;)

Anyways I think I've got the general seed and zap rule of IPT now and many thanks to @asingh and @Aman27deep for your posts in helping me understand the things which were unclear to me. Really appreciate it. :)

Just seed back, you should be fine. Even if that warning comes up. Because this is to combat people who accumulate massive buffers using SBs, and then H&R for years. This is detrimental and torrents fizzle out.

asingh: This was exactly what I was thinking last night that people with SB's and massive ratio's are in for a bit of a dampener with this HNR rule. This rule actually breathes more life into the very seeding aspect of each and every torrent a member there downloads without taking into account at all if that user has a huge buffer or not right? A staff member there even posted a small screenshot showing how the seeds of 5-10 torrents he had uploaded had fallen drastically due to HNR not being in force in the first 5 hours of his uploads.

Leave it on a tracker MOD to do it correctly . Thanks clarified a lot of things

lol as a community staff i appreciate helping and dont worry its not IPT :)
Come one there no harm in pulling a little leg and I never asked also which tracker;) ... I remember your insights from the seedbox thread so complimented you :happy26:.

Guys no problem and no HNR warning from IPT. As soon as I have enough BP's will start to zap a few torrents from the list. Have been seeding all the FL torrents I downloaded, infact started downloading another one last night. My netbook is happily seeding away 24/7. :)

^^
Do remember to delete it of the client before you zap it. Else it will come back to haunt ya.

@asingh: It appears that one can use Upload Credits as well to Zap torrents now. What I have to figure out before using the upload credits is that will it bring my main ratio to a 1.000 (assuming the upload credits = to the excess upload you have seeded thus far from all torrents?). My ratio currently stands at a nice 4.44.

asingh: From what I can understand, it seems you can Zap torrents that you downloaded from the list by using these 2 methods now:

1. Using 50 Bonus Points.
2. Using your surplus upload credit. (The cost of the upload credit needed to zap a particular torrent is mentioned besides the torrent file you downloaded respectively).

EDIT: So then members using SB's to create heavy buffers are also in for a treat as regards zapping torrents which they download. So how exactly does this HNR new rule make any sense then?

I joined IPT 2 weeks back and downloaded a 220 GB torrent which was freeleech. I did not intend to keep the RAR files so i was planning to delete it but then i saw IPT showing Hit and Run on that Freeleech torrent ,which i didn't expect. I was a little unhappy at first, i would have rather used Torrentday to download a freeleech torrent if i had known of this rule. Thankfully , whatever the size of the torrent you only need 50 points to remove the HnR torrent. 50 points is very reasonable amount for a large torrent.
