Iris 501 launched by Lava, 5 inch screen smartphone at Rs. 9,999

A new Android smartphone has now been launched by Lava. The name of this new 5 inch phone is Iris 501 (Iris is a famous song also!), and this phone features a WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution, 512 mb RAM, a 1 GHz Dual Core Mediatek processor, has a rear 5 Mega Pixel camera (with LED flash) and also a 0.3 Mega Pixel VGA camera in the front for video chats.



Just like all the other phones in the Iris series of phones, it is a Dual SIM phone, which makes it a direct competitor to many 5 inch phones, majorly naming Micromax A110, Spice Stellar Horizon, and Intex Aqua 5.0. It's also being preloaded with several applications and games, such as Asphalt HD, Cricket Fever etc.

All the Obvious features such as GPS, 3G, Blutooth, Wi-Fi are present. The phone runs on Android 4.0 ICS, and has an internal battery of 2,300 mAh. Another nice feature of this phone is Radio recording, which allows one to record their favourite radio songs off the air.



The new phone is being priced at Rs 9,999 and comes with a free back cover and a free 4 GB MicroSD. It is now available everywhere across India.
