Irritating sify Speeds

Hi all,
I recently got my sify BB connection,(Rs 814, night free) @ 256 kbps, and the connection seems damn stupid. The night time is free to download, but the connection is really inconsitent at that time, specially 10-1 AM. The speeds keep dropping to 0 and the connection keep lapsing, and then i have to click repair in the Network connections Icon, then the speeds come back, but never for long, just a few mins. and then it dies out again. any other sify user also having the same problem, and (IMPORTANTLY)IS there any solution

It might be a problem with ur local network , try pinging ur gateway and check if there are losses.

Ok, i did that just now, and here are the results-;

Time Taken:9 ms (average)

Trial #3 (with 64kb packets)

so, now what do i do?

should be >or =1ms

its just a connection problem, contact your internet person. he will help you this. you have weak link and connection fluctuates too. from 10ms to 9ms and back to 10ms. thats the problem.

your connection to the local cable wala seems to be the problem.

10% loss is huge man.....kick your cable guy till he changes the necessary..
