Irritating USSD message helo from airtel

Anyone else getting it? I get one every 2 minutes. Saying helo. If I keep phone idle for 15 minutes with edge on I would have got some 8 odd messages.

Irritating thing is that I cannot use the phone whatsoever unless I click ok on all those messages.

Happens even with my nexus one and sanfrancisco.

the thing is because of this the display stays on and the battery drains down quickly

Go to the "SIM Services" or Airtel Live in your handset(NOT WAP!). Check if you have any services in that activated.

Vodafone has something called "FLASH" in SIM services which keeps sending that USSD msgs until the person deactivates it from that menu!!

I'm sure there is something similar in Airtel which causing the similar problems!
