Hii frnds ... I've a Zebronics 500W Platinum PSU wid 22A on +12V rail ... how safe it will be if I use a 9600GT wid it ???

My confg is:

Amd 5400+ X2 (Brisbane, 65nm)
Asus M3A78-EM 780G chipset
Kingston 2GB 800 MHz
Seagate 250GB HDD
Moser Baer DVD-RW
Zeb 500W Platinum PSU

thnx in advance ...

I don't think 22A on 12v rail is sufficient for your system. You will need at least 25A.It may manage to run but your system is likely to be subject to random restarts and the smps is likely to fail after a couple of months. If you are unlucky it may even take your card with it.

If specs are true, it's safe. But that's rarely the case when it comes to most PSU brands. And importantly, there is more to SMPS than amps on rails ;)

I would say 9600 will run fine on this PSU but for how long and how stable, I can' say

Stay away from the Zebronics 'Platinum' series PSUs. Most're inefficient and do not truly stand up to the ratings specified.

You're better off with something better/cheaper such as the newer 'Pro' series PSUs, Zebronics've come up with. :)

hmm ok guys .... BTW i purchased dis psu for 2K in my city :( .... no other gud brands like CM are available here ... actually da local shopkeepers dont even know these brands.

anywayz .. i'll try to buy a HD 4670 .... but again da prob is no shopkeeper like to sell ATI card :( .... only 9400GT & 9600GT are available here (and for them also u've to 1st place an order, then they will arrange it from sum other city).
