Allow me to disillusion you. You created the thread, you don't own your thread. You don't own TE and you definitely have any say in what others can post in your thread. Thats up to TE rules and guidelines to decide and the mods to enforce. This is not eBay. If you don't like it, you can go somewhere else.

As for people wondering the nature of the PM's that ticked Mr. Jeri off him off so much that he made that rude post, let me post a brief outline of the PM convo he had with the newbie member I was talking about rather than posting PM in public.

Member X sends a PM to Jeri just for information sake that a 4GB MPSD is available for 800~1000 bucks in the market. Jeri in a rude and cocky tone challenges X that if he can prove his claim about the price, then he would smash his MPSD, take a video of it and send it to X. X responds by sending him the contact details of a dealer along with telephone numbers where a 4GB MarkII MPSD can be had for that price. He also tauntingly asks whether he would smash up the card or may be send it out to him for free. Now Mr Jeri pwned after being so cocky at the start goes hyper over it and sends a rude reply back to him. He even makes a threat that he will wait for X to make a market post so that he can ruin it. Then he makes this rude post in the thread itself.

In fact since his price claims are easily verifiable as agreed by the mods (Eddy) on that point, I will just ask him to post the dealer contact details in Jeri's sale thread.

I was also earlier wondering why Amarbir refused to deal with you. After seeing how rude you can be, I am pretty sure you would have given him enough reason for that as well.

The way you posted about a sane price quotation, you ought to specify what meaning sane offer holds for you.

If somebody is getting a good price for the article, he will take that as the reference point and not the price you quote.

He is purchasing an article for his own good and not to solve your problem.

You cannot dictate a PM beforehand by using that sort of a language.

Learn some humility man. If you and your thread have been pulled up by the mods for something, then there has to be something grossly wrong with it. Otherwise why would the mods even bother? I haven't ever seen the mods intervene unless something is out of line.

The guy who abused you, is a new user, who I'm sure hasn't even read the rules of the place, and in his eagerness to become a part of TE, let his tongue flap a bit too much. He should be put to task by the mods, if they haven't done so already.

But it is important to understand that such language and behavior might have been a result of your high-handedness and that attitude, that you've been throwing in people's faces since the day you started your thread. I am saying this from personal experience, because I was one of the very first people to PM you about the PSP+Card deal.

Even then you were like "This is Sony dude!" So what? Should the person who is going to buy your stuff, which of course you were ripped off for in the first place, should that buyer have to pay a premium for your raw deals?

Was this card a new one? Not even used for one day? I'm sure it wasn't. Then why are you asking for such a high price? Just because it is Sony?

I know a fresh Sandisk 4gig card is for 800/-, infact less than that
i wont purchase a card for 800 which is opened and used. Be it Sony or Be it anything. Sandisk has been a better option performance wise as well as price wise.
What gave you the idea i ll settle for 800 ? We cud have negotiated only if we first acknowledged true worth of a product.

i quoted that price only to let you know abt the pricing outside Sony Showroom.

You do know, that we do not delete all the post reported as low balling in the market section. If a price is determined easily, we generally do not delete the post's, nor do we delete post which in general would give more information to a seller.

I think Lord Nemesis, has put forward a very good argument, that no member own's his market thread. Sure all of us hate low-balling, but that does not justify fleecing un-suspecting members. TE members and mods try to minimize the same, and we certainly encourage members to post in the threads where they think the deal is clearly unfair.

We don't stop just because you said so. You do not call the shots even if its a thread you created. No one wants to dictate your actions. Its your stuff, you are free to price it what ever you want to. No one asked you to reduce your price. But on that pretext, if you expect us to stay silent when you want to try and fleece some unsuspecting buyer, then we won't stand for it. Members have every right to save a fellow member who is getting a raw deal.
