Laptops Is HP Mini 2140 available in India?

HP is promoting its netbooks seriously. Saw the ads and also the netbook during the match analysis after the T20 Ind-Sri Lanka match and also saw it being used by some news channel(either CNN-IBN or Times Now).

Does anybody know if this is available in retail yet? If yes also try to mention the price.
 
The original via based netbook was launched in India AFAIK. The looks/build was good. But very low perf and very high price (>28k) pretty much killed it. ;)

The HP 1000 series is the new Atom based range, but I dont think I have seen it anywhere in India yet.

There's a HP store in my office building

I saw the 1000 series (1002TX or something) there for 26K

Nice looking + great build + sweet keyboard

The 3 cell battery ruins the package though which is why I got the Samsung NC10 instead
 
Saw that Atom based HP mininote at Chroma, Hyderabad yesterday.
Price 23.5 K. NC10 was for 25.5 K.

wtf, where is a chroma in hyd? i thought only reliance digital was here?

seen any good offers? and where exactly is it? In that new complex that has an iStore in it as well? dont quite remember where pantaloons or pride honda is :P
 
I think it is Jubilee Hills, The hitech city road, Road No 36, very much near to Madhapur Police Station and Kavuri Hills.

I couldn't find any good offers as such.
 
Hey.... Hows the NC10 Performance and Batterrey Life??? Do let me know.. I am planning to buy one or maybe wait for HP Mini 2149
 
nc10 provides killer combination of sleek design, awesome battery life and good build quality... battery gives easily 6 hours under normal load.

What about speed and performance.. does the 1 GB make it any slower while on multiple windows?

And ambient heat? Does it start getting heated up?

Are there any short comming that you see...

I saw a Lenovo S10 with 6 Cell (should give a long battery life) but not sure.

Only point about Samsung is may not get any support if required...

Whats your opinion?

THe older one was going for 19.X at croma I think :P NOT worth it all all :no: esp with that crappy Via proccy. Right now the NC10 is the king of the hill.

@rupam: Support shouldnt be that much of a problem, considering that samsung has entered the lappy market in India with a bigger lineup than only this single model :)
