Is it possible to make payments to international shopping sites now using PayPal ?

Paypal says "PayPal India has recently shut their domestic payment transaction operations and will only be providing businesses for cross border transactions...."

So can we make payments for shopping at a site, say, in HK ?

I found a site and want to make a test purchase, they don't accept India credit/debit cards.

Well well this is a major issue PP is a very reliable source of payment.I recently made few payments of PP and everything was fine.Let me google this news.

Yes, it works(or any international transaction as a matter of fact). Paypal has shut down only their domestic operations in india.

Ok, confirmed I did make a payment using PP to a HK based site.

Now lets see if/when it reaches me. I ordered a tiny item, my experience has been that with non-registered post tiny items get thru - guess the item looks 'not worth stealing' .

If I receive this item, I'll know the PO etc are functioning, then I'll buy a larger item and pay for reg post.
