P Pothi Beginner Jan 10, 2011 #2 Yes and no! Yes: If you can install Windows XP (if your Windows 7 version supports virtual pc mode), then install IE7. No: Windows 7 and IE7 are not compitable. So, even if you download, you can't run it successfully on a Win7 system.

R rohit3192 Contributor Jan 10, 2011 #3 try IE9 beta that is much safer and much better than IE7/8. Otherwise FF is always there
V!bU Bang Bang Bang!!! Contributor Jan 10, 2011 #4 Don't try to install IE7 Standalone Installer in Windows 7, then its all over, Windows 7 explorer will totally crash off, reg will change completely, then u need to break ur head checking a solution....

A altruistic666 Beginner Jan 11, 2011 #6 Coz some of the softwares are not compatible with IE8. Tried many things but only thing working is virtual mode. Installing inside that did it.. Yeah IE 9 is super fast and good but these stupid applets and all doesnt load properly in there..:hap5:
