Is it possible to Separate the Sound Amplifier?

Hi,,

I have a Sony Music System which has a good sound quality but the CD and Cassette player are not functioning properly. So I thought of removing the sound amplifier and using it with my Phillips DVD player..

Any idea whether it's possible?

Doesn't it have an Aux input?

Yeah, plug the dvdp into the aux input.
