Is it require to upgrade my rig!!

Friends this is current rig
c2d E6600 2.4 ghz
Intel dg 965ry
3gb ddr2
1tb seagate
8800gt
Corsair tx650
20" lcd
Recently my gfx is dead so am thinking of getting hd 6850 will it bottleneck coz I can't oc the cpu with this board!! If I need to upgrade I have only 12k budget for cpu+mobo+ram.. Guide me friends !!

For now what you can do is get a Quad core cpu and then get a 6850.

Then shall I go for phenom x4 955 be+mobo+ddr3 is it worth or get 6850 and wait for ivy bridge mean while I can increase the budget by then..!! I mainly use it for gaming and watching movies

i guess its worth only if u amd fan and badly need 4 core proccesor cause otherwise intel dual core i3 2100 thrashes it for lesser price + u cann buy a good mobo and be reaady for ivy upgrade

@hhhclihh iam not an amd fan but my budget is max 12k !! If I go for i3 config it ll cross 20k...is it ok to keep my current rig and get 6850 so dat later i can go for ivy..

Go with an upgrade as long as you dont have to buy an HDD!
