hello guys, i am newbee for this forum .recently i upgraded from nvidia 9500 gt to zotac gtx 460 1 gb and i am not seeing significant improvement in almost all the games i play.my specs are intel c2d e8400 msi p45 neo 2*1gb ddr2 ram zotac gtx460 corsair vx550 my monitor resolution is 1440*900.i play nfs series, asassin creed, farcry 2.please help.thanks in advance

Well saying "significant improvement" is very very vague. But at that resolution you can go to the game menus and set every single thing to the highest barring antialiasing. I am guessing that you havent changed your image quality settings since the change.

Your cpu and mobo are absolutely fine.

As far your hardware is concerned, all is cool. Try pushing up your gameplay resolution and in game settings. As said earlier "SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT" is vague. Try posting up FPS of Farcry2 of both the cards and compare.

sorry forgot to mention it .earlier with 9500gt with medium settings i used to get around 40fps now with high settings i get around 55-60 fps.will i get improvement if i upgrade ram from 2gb to 4gb.i am using win7 ultimate 32bit.thanks in advance

sorry forgot to mention in earlier post.earlier with 9500gt with low and medium settings i used to get 30 to 55 fps in farcry2 and in nfs series.now with highsettings i get 40 to 65 fps.i use win7ultimate 32 bit.if i increase ram from 2 to 4gb can i see improvement in fps.

Yup, goto options and turn up your settings. And if you are eager to upgrade, a gig more of RAM would be sweet :)
