Is it wise to buy iphone now ?

Well was jus thinking to change my v3i and being a tech guy its more of a habit to go for different phone than the one which is common(sorry took v3i as o2(main mobile b4 it died) was the worst piece of device i ever bought)....

But seeing dec end ard...and 2008 near also chances of iphone version 2 launching next year..plus apple iphone india launch(most importantly warranty stuff) does it make sense to go for it.....

else my 2nd option is htc touch cruise...but know it will price horribly here
 
well... iphone is a great device ... can be used both as a pmp and as a phone... the touch screen is the best i've seen so far :)
 
^^ i agree. touchscreen works only with finger touch.. never works with a stylus.. :P the screen is highly feather touch sensitive.. even a slightest and lightest touch will do for this specially made touch screen... a great device with the fastest phone i have ever seen.. worth every penni :)
 
and one more thing... the touch screen is scratchproof...
btw... the music quality is awesome... and also u get two free APPLE stickers with it... :rofl:
 
yes yes... the only thing sucks is speaker volume :) is there any way to unlock another speaker? there are 2 speaker slots but volume comes from only 1 slot... the screen is very much scratchless :O

Both aren't speaker slots :P One is for the mic, and the other for the speaker. Were the iPhone to have stereo speakers, I'm sure Apple would have made a big deal and brandished it.

@Magnet: Make sure the iPhone version is 1.1.1 and you're safe. If you buy an OTB 1.1.2 iPhone then there's currently no way to unlock it. Essentially turning it into an iPod Touch.
 
Ohh but are the news out abt which month its going to launch here???if its 2nd half of next year than i can go ahead now

Also has anyone faced some serious defect with stuff???than whts the repair scenario??
 
well... i haven't faced anything till now... except my phone hung up y'day :@
well.. i guess u won't be able to service/repair it here... u know... coz using iphone in india is illegal :P

and regaring the launch date... well... nothing is confirmed in India untill it physically gets launched... (eg. the yamaha R1 :P)
 
^^ dude dont count on iphone repairs/ service in india.. my friends iphone slipped out of his shirt pocket when he was bending to tie his laces an screen got a million cracks all over.. now its been lying wit the guy he bought it off.. since a month.. still not repaired.
 
Lol.. that's the only problem with these phones and stuff with big screens.. You always have to worry about it.. when my iPod Touch is in my pocket I always have one hand over it coz I'm scared it'll fall out somehow :\
