Is it wise to buy rapidshare.com 1 yrs sub@3250 ?

Hi ppl,

These days rapidshare.com is giving away subsrciptions at a whooping 44% discounted rates. It boils down to Rs.3250 for a one year subscription.

To add the toppings they are also giving away 8000 premium points which are equivalant to 8 euros. One can easily redeem these points to get an additional month's subscription.

I leech stuff from rs.com everyday as a free downloader. But since they have changed the captua, rapget is failing to download anything from it. Now I have to enter the captua everytime manually

RS says, they will limit the download to 5 gb per day if someone downloads more than 20 gigs in 3 days. I do have 2mbps line and can control myself for a 5 gb per day download.

With all your experience guys, will it be a good idea to go for 1 yr subscription ? It comes down to nearly Rs.250 per month.

not bad if you are a hefty downloader...but yeah we all have some tricks up our sleave....to beat RS

yea a friend of mine is taking a RS subscription.. (booking it this tuesday)..

yes u can go ahead with a subscription.. if you are a very hefty downloader... or else it doesnt makes sense to pay so much to only download a few gbs!

If u have a fast connection and can upload stuff then y not buy a smaller subscription then renew each month with the points that u get for your uploads.

if you only download then go for the full year subscription.

i am using a premium account and would say its worth it

i almost bought the year account before my friend in iit told me rs(and all other dld sites) had been blocked here by an evil new admin *DIE*
