Storage Solutions Is it worth to buy a seagate freeagent GO 500gb or 1 Tb in bangkok ? - PLZ suggest...

Hello guys, my father is leaving for bangkok by tomorrow. I wanna get a 500GB or 1TB seagate freeagent GO or a GO FLEX drive since i fell it will be cheaper there, but i am not sure. This is the first time he visits bangkok and neither himself nor myself have any idea of the quality of goods sold there and their price. But i think the prices to be cheaper than INDIA.

Is there anyone who has been to bangkok and bought PC items ?. Please share your experiences and tell me whether it is worth buying there or not..

I heard that there are many shops/bazaars where bogus items are sold there, is it true ?

I heard that there is one PANTIP PLAZA which is equalent to SIM LIM SQUARE in singapore where PC parts are sold for cheap. Is it a reliable place to buy the above item ?. Please do provide me other places of computer shopping for cheap...

Warranty is an issue, especially with HDDs which may fail. Keep that in mind.

i will not suggest at all.
one of my n00b friend told me that he bought a "SONY" handycam for 12000 INR approx. from bangkok.
when i saw that it was a cheap chinese SONY Labelled handycam. :no:
he was almost going to faint when i told him the truth.

Thanx a lot guys. Anyway my father told that the prices are almost same as of here. So dropped that idea. I thought that it would be very cheap and i could get it for 2k since thailand manufactures many electronic products which are exported to countries like India...
