Is kev182 reliable?!!

Well i wanna buy a mobo from him but my dad doesnt quite trust this method of purchase so the thread... :bleh:
Kev says hes sold a lot of stuff to ppl here, so all those who bought stuff from him post here :)
 
Its understandable for your dad, or for that matter anyone who does not belong here, to not trust this method. But you see thats the beauty of being a TE community member. We trust each other. As far as I know, though I havent bought anything from him, he is reliable.
But you did a right thing to get your doubts cleared.
 
well, i picked a 6800 from him....and i had some s/w issues after setting it up....but the problem wasn't clear if it is a s/w issue or related to te card itself...and Kevin seemed to be more distraught than me :D

but i kindado not like the idea of posting a thread for this qstn....i can understand ur doubts....but somehow i don't like the idea of this thread :(
 
I agree partially with Superczar.... The thread reads like you do not want to Trust kev.

But on the other hand, I understand your hesitancy. And it is good that you are at least being open abt it and clarifying it up.

Well he told me to start this thread to be sure.Nevertheless i got my answer so mods can delete thread.
 
it actually makes sense to inquir about the seller as much as you can before jumping in to buy, and this opinion of mine in in general, after all, even if u buy ur pc parts or any thing localy, u kinda do a research first, dont u...
 
This thread his totally fine if the buyer genuinely has a doubt & is not causing any aspersions on the seller. ofcourse, he is also taken kev's permission so no problem there :)

jaber, the fact that it was kev's idea to post a topic shows how dependable he is :cheers:

only thing which could have been more subtle is the thread TITLE :(
 
ohh yea , i dont find anything wrong with it . Lets learn to give a spade for a spade , the intent is genuine and not tryin to malign anyone . :D . Kevs a bright young lad and am sure he doesnt mind .

Kev is reliable , plus he packs the stuff pretty well too ;). So i think it shudnt be a problem .
 
well.. all newbies will have the doubt like this of buying or sellin online like this, even if its te... may be the thread is appropriate, but its just like asking to a third person,(in his presence) and pointing to him, asking whether i can trust this person! i wud feel strange! of course... someone asking abt me to some other and tat too, in front of me...

Yup, it was....In spite of my firm resolve not to reinstall Windows to fix probs, the whole episode left me so frust that I went ahead and reinstalled XP
After that it's been working great...It was a DX 9 related issue in all likelihood...perhaps a corrupt install

Bought one little gadget from him which worked perfectly... And i see no problem putting this kind of a thread here... Its perfectly allright IMPO... Its okey till the time its been done decently...

Mods... time to bring in Trader ratings :P...

totally in agreement with you here switch if we have trader rating here (which can be alloted like reputation by the buyer) so the people like jaber can get solace.:hap2: :hap2: :hap2:
