Guys i have a HP Lightscribe Drive.
Few days back i bought a 10 DVD Pleomax spindle and from then 3 consecutive DVD's have been wasted in writing...The thing happening is whenever i m trying to write on DVD's , after 3-4% the writing is stopping suddenly and after 5 mins i m recieving the message "Error:Burning process failed" ...

Since then i am not continuing my writing work in fear of not losing more DVD's...

Is there any fault in my Drive or the DVD's are faulty??

I m using nero 7

check out the drive test function in Nero . Is your drive reading DVDs well ?

I too had a similar problem, I realized that my drive was faulty only after wasting about 10 blank DVDs

Also you can try DVD of another brand

yeah its reading well...not only 3, prior also i have wasted about 10-20 DVDs with the same problem...but it was like if i m writing 5 DVDs , sometimes some DVDs were creating problem, and sometimes they were going good...

Few other things you can try:

1. Get a cheap DVD-RW disc and try to burn as well as erase it

2. Burn it really slow say 4x

3. Try and burn a CD and see if that works

4. Try to burn a really small amount of data as a multi-session DVD so that the whole DVD is not ruined
