Storage Solutions Is my hdd dying?

hi all, recently bought a Seagate 1tb 7200.12 from one of the member here. After installing & formatting I start the PC its making click,click sound & when I try to access it makes a weird spinning noise.
I also have 1 TV Seagate external hard disk with power adapter. its 2.5yrs old it also do the clocking noise Evert time I switch it on & off but its their since bought it & working fine,other noise are not there .
All the above hard disk are in warranty.
My external hdd contains hell lot of collection of movies,photos.
Should I give it both to rma. How much time will they take to return the repaired hdd.
Anybody willing to lend me a 1.5gb hdd till these come back from rma.

Get a HD Sentinel Scan , it could probably let you know a better insight. A clicking noise have become a frequent thing of Segate drives. Time to pull up a backup ASAP.
Also try the Segate Sea Tools, i dont know how well its suited at this situation, but try first HD sentinel though!
You'll get a fairly good picture of if its failing or not!

I just found few spelling n grammar mistakes in your post, last one is severe one :bleh:

TV ~ TB
Evert ~ Every
hard disk ~ hard disks
give it both ~ give both
1.5gb ~ 1.5TB

Now coming on topic, you immediately need to take backup n replace your HDD.

Coming back to topic,I did a hdd sentinel status check,it shows 65% health where as my 4yr old wd320 is on 98%.It worries me every time hdds make click sound,will try to get another disk for backup as I don't have any other source.

Where is Seagate service centre located in Bangalore,how should I approach them?
As this will be my first rma, I'm much of a noob in this business.

Accel Frontline does the support for Seagate in India

I dont know whether the accept the product in person!

Before you begin your RMA, check whether your Drives are eligible for Warranty or not, as Seagate have changed their policies lately.

Hdd has warranty till july-2014, does the refurbished hdd they give after rma will have same warranty or lesser.
