Hello Friends ...
After lots of thinking i decided to buy new mobo Asus P5Q-E :hap2: :hap2:
But i have one very serious question ...
Is my RAM (Trancsend DDR2 2x1Gb 667 MHz) compatible with Asus P5Q-E ???

hmm there is a warning in the bios which says system may be unstable if RAM used less than 800MHz. im having P5Q Pro.

but i think u can overclock it anyway :)

Transcend 667mhz are not that OC'able.. u can try .. u can OC it a bit..but 667 - 800 may surely burn ur chip... Transcends are normal budget rams not meant for torchure :(

Post with facts, 667 to 800 wont even ask for voltage bump. BTW I have 667MHz too, can reach 1000MHz.

It all depends on chipset/IC, Try Transcend AXE RAM.

Not aware of which chips i had...but i had Transcend too but always faced problems in OCing. but that was just me i guess.. again saying..wasnt aware of the Chips.

my 800mhz transcend(powerchip ICs) can do 900mhz+ at 4-4-4-12 timings
:)
they arent that bad...you just have to see what you get

Hahahahaha....My transcend ram has elpida chips...currently running at 690mhz at 3-3-3-9-12-2t.... can do 850 at 4-4-4-12-16-2t without any voltage bump on my m2nvm dvi !!!

Its the chipset that determines the overclockability to big extent (Although chips also play important role)

Ok friends ...

I asked about Biostar TPower i45 mobo to my dealer he give me the price 7800/-

So what r u say about this mobo is it good for buy ???

He also suggest me that dont buy intel for gameing buy AMD and show me a Gigabyte GA-MA780GM-S2H mobo + 5200+Proc...

So what will i do now Get Biostar mobo Or AMD combo ???

Pls Help me guys ....

What r UR requirements ?? Platform wise AMD is superior, U r getting full features mobo @ 5k, best onboard video solution.

if U have dedicated GPU, choose Intel, simple reason OC C2D, get P35/P45, for general usage (ie dont need RAID, eSATA, CF) Abit IP35-E is enough.

So what r u say ???

OC+GPU = P35 E is more than enuff..if u wana do cf then p45 pro :)

...Still do you proper homework on CF on p45 @ full speeds(16x) or its 8x?? :)
