Is NEFT transaction processed on sundays?

I'm buying something from a te member. He needs money on urgent basis so is it ok if i do NEFT transaction right now and will it get processed today itself or tomorrow?

Its between SBI to ICICI.
 
neft and rtgs happen only on working days. In your case, Monday.

You could have deposited cash today. Sunday, all banks are closed, so cant do that tomorrow also

Ans : Presently, NEFT operates in hourly batches - there are eleven settlements from 9 am to 7 pm on week days (Monday through Friday) and five settlements from 9 am to 1 pm on Saturdays.

^ Yes, IMPS is the best option, real time money transfer 24/7! You just need the recipients registered mobile number and MMID, the money will be credited the account immediately.
 
I have heard about RGTS but for that the min amount to be transferred should be 2lacs and rgts operates 24*7. But whats IMPS? Dont know whether my bank has that option as i never seen that atleast with SBI. Any sbi users who can shed some light on this facility?
 
RGTS is usually for big amount runing into lakhs on urgent basis.NEFT though done atleast takes an hour to reflect on ther side in some cases if banks differ.

IMPS looks to be mobile platform for transfer.
