Storage Solutions Is Sony AD7240 Good??

Also I'm planning to replace my MoserBaer Lite-on 20A4 with Sony Optiarc Ad7240,previously I had issues with Sony DRU models,like say it doesn't read certain DVD's and sometimes session closing errors and such,But I've read AD7240 is good.
My concern is are those issues solved in the 7240 series

just last month i bought this drive and wrote some 30 odd dvds. i never faced any kind of problem of closed session...everything went smooth and silent.
