earlier there used to 10-20 posts on most threads and there were very active discussions. now it seems hardly anything interesting and fun happens here. have people moved to other websites or facebook grups now ? can anyone name any that are more popular than us ?

Information is readily available on the internet and people have finally gotten better at using google instead of posting queries for the smallest of things.
The older members have moved on and are mostly busy with their offline lives, whatever little time they get is spent with family or pursuing hobbies.

Also, 2014 was the worst year in gaming imo which further reduced the topics to discuss. More sequels, buggy games, DLC's and whatnot.
Even the tech scene has hit a bit of a plateau for the past few years with the lack of exciting hardware, everyone already has all the computing power they require, just yesterday Intel launched Skylake processors to a collective yawn. As for phones and tablets it's one boring rectangular slab after another with moar pixels, megapixels, octa-deca-hexa core and gimmicks with smaller batteries.

That leaves the more opinionated topics on the forum where people waste time and energy by posting walls of text in order to prove the other person wrong, the further you stay away from these the better.

Even i was banned for no reasons couple of years Back...

Basic courtesy standards have declined on GT, most people resort to name calling if they disagree with you, maybe I'm guilty of this too. I just don't feel like going through the effort to post.

I was banned from team bhp for the same reason , spelling and grammar for a year . Didn't miss it at all . Don't miss it today even though my ban was lifted .

TE lets me be myself . I like that . So I visit daily . [emoji3]

Did you even check if the account is transferable before requesting for someones credentials, that too on a thread post?

I do use it occasionally to post info on the threads of cars i currently have and have owned in the past .

Recently had a discussion about making TE into something big (link)
We had no communications later from the Admin side, if anything from there was taken seriously.

ps: Could somebody pm me the love letters tbhp requires while registration. I was rejeted thrice.
 
This is the scene with all tech forums. All of the forums have become more of quickr type sites, with people coming in only to get discounts and buy second hand stuff. Reviews/Previews, case mods, etc etc have all gone a long time ago. E used to have some people who were active as well and kept putting up reviews and build logs...thats gone too.

A few guys like Rakesh still try, but seeing the lack of comments and support, I think finally they will give up as well. But I dont see any of the other old members around that much anymore....this is the same across most of the Indian Tech forums...

TBhp has managed to stay at the top because of content...the mods demand good content and if you want to make a thread on your car ownership, then they will push you to add more details etc. Also even though some of you did get banned, the forum runs because they are strict. I think tbhp is one of the few good forums left in India today.
