I'm having Kaspersky 7.0 on my XP and NOD32 on my 2003 and I usually update my definitions frequently. Both the AVs are quite good(I assume so) in detecting Trojans.

I've seen lots of Anti-Trojans/Trojan removal programs on the net. So is there any additional need for Anti-Trojan software(s) ?

Thanks in advance...

Nope no need as such , but there may be some rootkit bundled trojans which they may have difficulty in removing so it is advised to have a rootkit remover also

That means having a rootkit remover is a good idea, rather than the extra burden of Anti-trojan software.

Thannx !

yup..i use spybot n ad-aware installed. these 2 together will catch most spyware/adware. + no need to use any realtime protection with these..i just go for a weekly scan for an all clear ;)

Yup even i m using Spybot (Free) n with SD shield its really gud...along with this i m using Spyware blaster (free) & AVG Anti-Rootkit (free) :)

There was an anti-trojan soft.. that was discontinued sometime back..aussie company if i recall...

..so the impression i get from this is the market does not think its necessary.

imho viruses are rare these days . trojans /adware is far more plentiful . People these days dont want to simply screw you system. they want to do it and get a profit. Firefox/noscript/a firewall and common sense (hardest to install :P) should be all you need. Has kept me safe so far :)

Is their any way to remove autorun.inf functionality from windows?
i knw autorun for removable drive can be disable but whenever u click on drive(sp usb) it directly executes fishy Mal/spy ware ...usually ppl don't follow deleting procedure via winrar or cmd.
