Is there any way to increase the signal strength of BSNL EVDO?

Is there any ways by which i can increase the signal strength, as i am getting a single tower and the Down speed is around 1.7kbps...

u can try cd-slide in trick or usb extension cable trick or bowl trick. You can see speed difference only when u are very near(~1km) to ur evdo tower and when ur tower has few users. The Bsnl Evdo service is getting worst so not many tricks work.

Try it at different locations at your house itself, the speed greatly varies even for slight change in direction, location etc.
