Hi All,
Firstly i would like to thank all of you in narrowing down my laotop queries to DELL.
Anyways I had called up Dell today and was inquiring abt the inspiron series, and the guy was patient enough to answer all my queries. After that he told me that there is an offer by dell only for this week, and the offer is that the laptops will be sold at the cost price(without extra tax and delivery charges).i'm wondering whether its to make me buy it asap since i had told him i'll need atleast 2-3 weeks. or do they have these random promotional offers(w/o advertising abt it)? So i'm still kinda confused here :(
Regards

Their BS "cost price" is much more than the actual cost price and this "cost price" offer will probably go on forever if you talk to the right rep.

For example, the cost price of an iPod shuffle is about $20; yet Apple sells them for $80-odd.

Whie i got my inspiron he told me too that VAT will be zero and only for few days... But the offer stayed for a while... But once you have decided to buy go on and buy it ya.. Dell is a great machine and will never fail you...(2 yrs experince. no issues til now) :)

go for it, I have called the DR two times and both time I got two new offers...one was free RAM upgrade, another 5% discount

Worst analogy ever....

Anyways... I had got mine in "cost prize" 3 years back (no tax + no octroi). They always have some offer or some scheme or some way to offer you in cost prize if you're persistent enough.
