Hello,
I have a problem with my XP (SP3) installation. The Application window (IE or Explorer etc) sometimes resize continuously some time. That means as if F11 pressed (Full screen). The window will keep flickering for some time until I press Ctrl. The flickering is random. It will not appear for some hours. Is this a Virus attack? I have formatted the HD and reinstalled all again. Still the problem persists. Avast running. Ran spybot also. Had Kasperky full edition in earlier installation. Nothing caught.

Please somebody help.
thanks in advance.

^F11 actually, as per his post. Keyboards are known to have problems sometimes.

Btw, @prabs, u think the video drivers are making IE/explorer go full-screen?

Not really he mentioned flickering.
I had a problem with 177.53 everytime I tried to start Lost Planet the screen would keep flickering after quitting the game. I updated to 180.48 and the problem was solved.

^No problem.

Though I am a bit cuious though. I keep wondering about one thing, sometimes my mouse pointer keeps moving upwards on it's own till I physically move it and then it stops. It is a ball mouse :ashamed:

Change over to a optical mouse asap and u'll wonder why u didn't do it earlier. That also happens with optical mice sometimes, though. Mostly when the surface is shiny.

Hello all,
thanks for your replies. I have scanned and removed some trojans (could find by Avast). Ran spybot also.
But full screen problem still persists. I dont think something to do with video driver. Randomly this start happening till I press control key. And when I press it , the window may be in Fullscreen mode. I can click it and make it normal. Then it continues for some time without any issue.

I have Nvidia onboard on Asus MB. Dell 24 Ultrasharp Wide. Except this issue, no other visible Visual issues with monitor.
Note that I have upgraded to XP SP3 recently.

regards,
anand
