well go for a AMD 3000+ for ~6.5k instead

and go for an Altec Lansing ATP3, those creative 4.1 are crap...

and a8n SLi for 6.8k i think its a little too cheap to believe. in any case, go for A8Ne, but if u want to go SLi in the future, then go for that SLi board...

1.if u r not gonna put 2 GPU then going for SLI is of no use...so better go for ASUS A8NE MOBO(rock solid).Shud come around 5.5K.
2.XFX is no doubt good but i'll suggest u to go for Leadtek 6600GT GPU.
3.Dun go for IBall..its is all Cr*p...instead go for logitech or Microsoft.
4.Why not sata2???
else evrythin seems fine 2 me.

Go for the Venice 3000 + instead for 6.5k , -Rs 2500
And if u dont want SLI, the A8N-E for 5.6k, -Rs 1300
The 6600 GT is 8k now, - 1000
And i would also say go for the ATP-3, tho theyre only 2.1. If u really want 4.1 go for the inspire else the ATP-3. And the kb+mouse get from logitech or Microsoft. So the cost is 47k now.

Avoid paying 9K and getting a 6600GT ....there are other better cards you can get by paying a bit extra ....no point in going in for a soon to be "EOL" item.

also if possible get a LG 4167B or Benq 1640/50 dvd writer

and why are you paying 9K ~ 9.5K for opty 144 chip ??
you would be better of getting a 3000+ for around 5.5 ~ 6K from existing members here. the 50% price increase does not translate into more than 5 ~ 10% performance gain at the same clock speeds of the cpu's.

dont go for Opty...

Go for BenQ 1650 instead of LiteOn.

and go for A8N-E instead of A8N SLI.

And dont buy cheapo PSUs.... get at least a Powersafe 500watts

thanx for the response guyz !
but i wud like to know...........

difference between opetron and venice 3000+

also wats the price of benq 1650 ?

why A8N-E instead of A8N SLI ?

XFX is no doubt good but i'll suggest u to go for Leadtek 6600GT GPU.

why ?

1650 costs around 2.8K + VAT. I bought it in Jayanagar the other day.

And Opty has 1MB L2 cache while AMD 64 Athlon(not the San Diego cores) have 512KB L2 cache.

But it does not make too much of a difference. I say, save the money and go for something else with that 3K you save.

and the A8N-E coz you dont need SLI. The A8N-SLI and A8N-E are identical except for SLI.

And of course with A8N-E you get more usable PCI slots. Unless you are hell bent on going SLI.... but I say A8N-E

doubtful..... maybe you can stretch to abt 15K(abt 6 K more :P ) and get a 6800GS....

and if you can stretch to 15K, you can certainly stretch to 16.5K and get 7800GT from TE :P

ok thanx ,but with that 3000 rs which i save by not getting opetron can i get some better graphic card ??

Yes you can get a GTO2. The newer Sapphire GTO2's are virtually the same as X850XT / (PE). it has R480 Core and 1.1ns memory chips. The only actual difference is in the cooler. i may be getting another one by march end from newegg.

but GTO2 is not available in India is it?? If so, what is it priced at??

And if it is available at around 12-13K, then they are unbeatable VFM!!!

bluffmaster, whats your application of this PC.

Are you gona overclock or run it at stock.

I would strongly suggest waiting for new GFX cards to be launched and get something better than 6600GT.

If you need pc till then there are plenty of choices.

If your expansion options are limited and you dont need more than 2 PCI slots then get Krypton/Biostar T6100-M9 motherboard. It has onboard GFX that will be ok till you get better card after saving for a while.

Its good overclocker too. Costs less than 4K, you have option PCI express card in future too.

Well actually I need it for just entertainment purpose i.e playing games , movies , songs and some animation work !

Doesn't asus a89-e have onboard gfx ? My friend is having the same mobo and he has built in geforce 6200 !

Wont 6600gt be suffecient for running doom3 , HL2 , BF2 , riddick , fear , etc on medium settings ???
