I purchased an internal HDD from a member recently. While I ran HDpro tests, Health check threw 3 errors. It showed all sectors as OK though in error check. I have atached all the screenshots. Pl guide me, is this HDD ok?

The last one, Ultra DMA error isn't much of an issue. However, the first 2 definitely are. You will need to get the drive replaced.

Hadn't the seller told you about these errors? You should have got it checked before buying.

Seller had uploaded this seatools result.

Guys pl help, what should I do?

1. Go on and use the HDD.

2. Get it RMAed.

3. Return it and get refund.

Talked to Seller, He is ready take it back and refund.

But, I think, It would be better to get it RMAed. But, the error shown is such critical? Would seagate RMA it for such error? What say?

@vivek thanx, been to the place for my 1tb goflex desk.

Well, since it shows error on the Seatools software, just take a printout and show it to the service centre if needed. but mostly, AFAIK, will not be needed, as they will check it themselves.

This is so confusing. HDD is passing all seatools tests. While HD TUNE PRO also passes all tests, but in health section shows some error for which it doesn't give any description.:@. For what reason do I send it for RMA??:(

Submitted it for RMA at local seagate service center.

Will seagate check/repair it Or just replacec it?
