and which apc ups have this external battery connector

its RS 800 .... no it doesn't come with external battery connector and no idea about which model have it ....

I have the RS 800 and here is a screen capture of its monitoring software - in the bottom it indicates the backup time - and this was with a ....

19" samsung CRT / Antec TP480 / 2 opticals / 2 HDDs / 1GB / Audigy / Geforce 4200 / USB scanner / external modem

... all this hardware is reported in the APC software as a load of 162W !!!

The APC RS-800 is more than enough for you and the RS-1500 comes with the external battery connector and costs Rs. 10,000.

^^ No.

your PSU uses no power or Minimal Power. Its just upon how much load your putting on yuor PSU and hence the UPS.

Guys, i dont mean to Hijack this thread, but is there a good UPS for like 2000 Rs?

I have an LCD Monitor, so Load will be a little lesser :P.

is there a connection between the wattage of the SMPS with respect to the UPS ??
OK.. today I upgraded my SMPS from a Antec TP480 to a Antec TPII 550 and the APC softwares shows the exact same load of 162W as you can see in my above attached picture.

When I used a 19" CRT the APC software used to report a load on the UPS of 211w now after I changed to a 17" LCD the load reported is 162w. I am doing my bit for saving Electricity consumption in Mumbai :D
