Is Writing AVI files on DVD along with making a menu possible ???

I have a couple of TV shows and want to write them on a DVD as they are eating up my external HDD space. One set of these shows is in AVI format and another in WMV format. Is it possible that i can burn them as it is on DVDs and also have a menu to access each of the episodes.

I am aware that i can convert them to DVD format and make the menus / chapters and all but i tried this today and the quality degraded a lot.
Else is there any tool (except convertx to DVD) which will take all the files that i tell, and keep the aspect ratio / quality as it is and make a DVD (vob, audio_ts and all that)

i too have the same query!..it would have been nice if i could have/make a menu of the .avi's which would be compatible in playing with my current Divx-DVDSAP!

I used Tmpeg software about 1 year back to convert my avi files into dvd using rita.lt guide quality was superb.

I've only used Nero Vision Express!

Seems pretty decent!

u can convert u r files to DivX if u r player support this CODEC

then use linux kdivxburner burner to burn with menu and subtitle well its a command line driven tool hard to learn at first

Use The software ConvertX To DVD ... Nice one and easy too !
