I had already started a thread regarding feedback a month back, got nice inputs about them but none from chennai though.

Airtel has one of the best service in Bangalore & one of the worst in Chennai.

Chennai is their main gateway but wonder why such pathetic service.

Airtel can die with their shitty plans! I have no internet at home, have given up Reliance, now only option bsnl/airtel. I r Doomed!

I have been with Airtel for the past 10+ years, am absolutely happy with their service, they are prompt and stick to the SLAs. I reside in Egmore, not sure why you guys complaining, make sure your telephone line wiring is clean, that is the only issue I can think of.

As for other ISPs, I know Reliance, BSNL, Tikona offer plans in my area.

I feel airtel is better than BSNL plan wise , my sis is getting 60 gb FUP at 8mbps for 1250 thats pretty good i assume

So no one who is form chennai have used you or spectra net?

these two ISP's are the only ones when offer vfm plans it would be nice to see how the up time is and also the CC

My friend has been using You for nearly 10 years now and has never experienced problems. Another one of my friend has put You recently and hasnt any problem till now. The former resides in Mylapore and the latter resides in Tiruvanmayur.

I've got a supplimentary YOU connection after our primary Airtel line started having disconnection issues. The plan is really good VFM, but I personally cannot recommend it as a sole internet provider. It works out really well for me since I can always switch back to the Airtel connection whenever YOU has connectivity issues.

YOU Pros:
HTTP & Steam downloads are extremely fast.
Easy to recharge online.
Lucky draws most months to win prizes when you recharge.

YOU Cons:
Connection isn't stable, speeds vary wildly even though the average speed is as advertised. This makes it sub-optimal for non-buffered streaming like Skype (my 1mbps airtel connection gives a better video conference experience than my 12mbps YOU connection). This could just be the nature of cable vs dsl.
When turning on the PC the modem isnt always able to connect to the ISP.
Youtube speeds appear to be throttled. When streaming a single page, it downloads at around 120kBps, however if I open multiple videos side by side, I can get them to cumulatively download at 1.2 mBps. This makes it good to buffer many videos at once, but not so great when you want to watch a single video in 720\1080p.
