We have a pact or understanding with them to allow beside this was emergency situation. If not allowed the pilot could have crashed it.


Btw Not sure if allowing them to map will make much difference in terms of secrecy be ause of satellite imagining these days.

But should be done by Indians only.

The US politicians as far as I seem to have understood they may make money on cuts , bribes and as middle men but they don't swindle money directly out of defence expenditures and public money.
I could be wrong but they seem to have much more stringent policy on terms of bookkeeping.
Again Not saying they must not be making money btw.

Hamare yeha hota hai yeh sab....they take bribes also plus take more money out of projects also. Chori ke saath dakati .

Conspiracies are abound, for eg., it's a different fighter jet that raised the distress call, not the one landed in India.
Anyways, they have to dismantle missiles / weapons, wings, etc. to cargo the fighter jet now.
As for Indian govt., international laws, being in maritime exercise with them during the issue, being USA's top fighter jet we have to act as decent folks, we are not that big a player in international defense space though ~1.4bn people, aka we can't even control our meek teeny tiny neighbors for their own good. Then, we have to buy jet engines, do trades, international diplomatic favors, etc. from these countries.
So, a bit of reality check is fine.

That does make sense.
But let's say the all aircraft's are needed on a urgent notice like in 12 hours.
Maybe it takes a lot of time to coat them .
So having them prepared for a mission on any given moment doesn't sound like a bad idea.


Also the paint degrades quickly.
You need to reapply it after every mission.
