Current Affairs Israel attacks Iran.

No, the graph suggests that internet went down last Friday
I can give you proof of my chat with a Iranian friend on Friday , sat and sunday . So I am pretty sure the cellular service was up and working .
I am guessing the videos can get distributed on Whatsapp , tiktok etc .
Yes , they do tend to use VPN at times for whatsapp .

Not a complete shutdown so government was working but everyone else was not

TCI must be their BSNL equivalent

You can see all the Iranian ISPS there. Show that graph to your friends and ask them if it's accurate

My friend is an actor . He does not know any shit about ISP or Internet . He uses VPN to call at times when the call does not go through . Beyond that he is as knowledgeable as much as Trump is about with the current Iran and Israel conflict . .

So I guess we also can buy oil now.
China's railway reached Iran few days bank, so there will be huge change in the market.
Fears Over Iran's Missing 400kg Of Uranium. Enough To Make 10 Nukes, Says US
There are reports Iran may have moved the stockpile days before the attack to a secret location, a claim repeated by Israeli officials to The New York Times.
This is so predictable, don't know what's the point of all these attacks... :(
"The missing uranium - seen as a powerful bargaining chip for Iran, whenever it opts to resume talks with the US on a new nuclear deal - is enriched to 60 per cent. It needs to be enriched to about 90 per cent to be used as a nuclear weapon..."
According to Rafael Grossi, chief of the IAEA - the International Atomic Energy Agency, a global nuclear watchdog - it had been last inspected a week before Israel's first attack on Iran. Last week Grossi told the United Nations Security Council it is "essential" the IAEA resumes inspections as soon as possible.
He also warned the world that continued military escalation delays this "indispensable work" and degrades chances of a diplomatic solution to keep Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Cost of shipping over land vs by sea

Yes?

These land corridors are fine if you are a land locked country. Of course China will say but its strategic. Yeah at a much higher cost and only in a contingency.

Without any centrifuges what can they do with it?

Absolutely nothing and that UF6 is pretty toxic and needs careful handling.

End the clandestine nuclear program.

Pending a damage assessment report I think we're good. Trump would not be boasting otherwise.

And how do you go from 60 to 90 without centrifuges?

It's not a bargaining chip. Unless it's surrendered no sanctions relief. Iran has no leverage. They have lost their last Ace.

Attack happened because it went missing.

They have been trying for over a decade with diplomatic solution and got taken for fools. Nothing was working.

So the stick came out. And it required a president with the balls to wield it.

Nah

Nobody have to teach logistics to China, they definitely know how to handle this so better than others.
The route will be utilized by all countries along the way for all kind of transport, not just directly for China alone.

Oh, remember someone saying UF6 is nothing to be worried about, some Grossi, this, that... :)

Do you think it's going to be so easy ? Current situation make it look tad difficult.

It's giving a balls over brains vibe now.

As for bargaining part, this news-byte is exactly as per my expectations, as of now. Is the same Grossi you quoted earlier giving the idea, so... Let's see.

I'm trying to figout what the purpose is. Other than in a contingency I'm not seeing much use for it.

The central Asian republics it passes through export energy. Pipe line works better than train and there are plenty of pipelines from there to China already.

China wants energy from Iran. Oil tankers are the cheapest way. If China wants to send goods then container shipping works for that.

Right, hand it over is what he wants.

It's worthless in its current state to Iran and it's their ticket out.

The strike on Sunday is what I meant. IAEA reports missing enriched uranium. By the weekend the bombs come.
It's giving a balls over brains vibe now.
What are the results

Ended the nuclear program
Got a cease fire

I don't know what will happen tomorrow but as of this moment we're good.

First Freight Train From China Wheels Into Iran, Flying In The Face Of American Sanctions (29th May 2025)
Oil tanker ships will be longer route, China's dependency on USA allies in ME region, etc. needs to be considered.
Giving lot of importance both for China and countries en-route, call this as freedom from USA dependency.
Logistics may ensure the route will be utilized by other countries who may pay China, China and the countries in between can utilize the tracks for their own material logistics, etc.

Iranians are known to be touch negotiators.

Not so fast, will have to wait to see how it works out.
Cease fire too looks like a partial embarrassment to those involved.

This I fully agree.
