since you have agreed to your fault, please see to it that you solve the problem by discussing with RedBull. Ignore any and all other comments from members except the Mods. Then he made the bill inside and came out and handed over the bill to me.
it was my fault that i didnt check the original bill(tell me how many ppl do that before sending, they tell u to sign and u sign, i hope most do so)
FYI, Even though the OP may have paid you the shipping charges, the responsibility of lodging complaints in case of issues lies with you and you only since you are the one who used their service by booking the courier and hence the consumer. The courier service never entertains any complaints from the recipients. Even if the recipient finds an issue and wants to complain, they will simply tell him to ask the sender to lodge the complaint. If DTDC guys are trying to tell you otherwise, then they are only trying to bullshit you. What the OP did was absolutely by the book. He can only accept or reject a courier. He cannot complain about its condition, loss of contents, damage or any thing else. The sender is the only one who can do that.ayaskant12 said:NEWAYS I GOT A CALL AGAIN FROM DTDC OFFICE TO lodge a complaint by the OP at dtdc kottayam about the whole packing issue and stuffs he saw and why he denied accepting it
he cannot just deny to accept and not lodge a complaint and walk away from the office just like that after opening the parcel!!!
Each and very courier service operating in India would ultimately get added to that list.buddingwhizkid said:i think we should make a list of shipping services that should not be used , and the no of instances of bad experience with them .
and can list them in worst to best manner .
would do good to community .
Shoudn't we have a guide for safe courier practices, instead?buddingwhizkid said:i think we should make a list of shipping services that should not be used , and the no of instances of bad experience with them .

Why I am I not surprised? Force the receiver to sign without allowing him check the contents of the package (user checking the package is standard procedure that they recommend) and they can just laugh away the complaints whether they bring you couriers in damaged condition, with items missing or with rocks and batteries to add weight.RedBull said:now he is getting queries as to why it was opened without first signing off with me.Then i mentioned that even the DTDC Blue Pouch was absent and also,if i remember correctly, there is a clause that i should ensure the contents before signing off. Also, i asked him what i could have done with a signature at the receiver's end, he said "Nothing" - he just seemed to want to save his ass. Then i told him that he himself had called up a higher official in front of me when the set was absent and he had told me to reject the parcel. He then hung up saying it was just his luck.
I wonder if DTDC will ever learn the lesson. There are scores of other Indian websites where people have gone hoarse screaming that the DTDC guys stole their stuff or never received etc., and no, there never has been a resolution. I don't know how the authorities over here pursue these cases. In fact, I don't even know if they do.Anything possible with these people, they cant be trusted, these cheats need to be punished..
So they learn a lesson...
