I have a Biostar Tp35d2 A7 with E4400 processor (rest config is in my siggy)

from yesterday i am facing a problem:
when i put on power, all the cpu fan start to spin but there is no output on the monitor (not even the bios screen) then after 3 secs it restarts and then the cpu fan keep on spinning but there is no output is it stays that way..

plz help !!!!!!!!!

first step is the remove any static charge in the pc. disconnect the power source from the wall point and hold down the pc cabinet power button for 10 seconds. reconect main power and now try to start the system.

if nogo, then reset the ram and sata ide cable.

now , the board doesn't seem to have onboard display, so this is the flow you try to troubleshoot this.

1) try what Uniquemods said in the post above

2) reset video card i.e ur 9500gt and check (unexplained fix!)

3) reset ram chips and check (if system starts, maybe ram came off loose or static or whatever!)

4) source a replacement / testing display card and check system. (if system starts, its the display, rma gfx)

5) alternately, take your display card to a friends place and check on the other system. (if doesnt work , again its ur card, rma gfx -or- if it works- back to your system, gfx is fine!)

6) reset cpu

7) since cpu fatality is something easily ignorable, rip motherboard

8) rma.

p.s : is ur 9500gt powered by the psu ? if yes - check another power connector on the card.

did all this but no sucess,
will arrange for a spare graphics card and ram and then check again
anyways any one knows how and where to RMA biostar board

like u said the fan starts for 3 sec and then stops and again restarts and then stays on but no display.

if a computer gpu - onboard or card - is screwed, the comp wont restart after 3 sec. it will stay on with no display. the 3sec restart is pointing to something different.

my main guess is the ram. try a backup/spare and let us know.

hmm thanks will check that

Tried all the methods listed above no avail

seem like need to RMA the board , i have no bill but there is a sticker of top notch Infotronics at the back.

so can it be RMA ed ??

it was bought in 2007

your mobo is conked off, get a new one. If you know the make of mobo and as u said it was bought in 2007 it still has left warranty until 2010 you can go to its respective service center in your area and they will do further rma or repairing. So no bill needed here.

^just take the board to the service center and tell them u lost the bill but it was bought in 07 (i.e if they insist on the bill ) most of the time they will use the sticker on the board and read of it (bar code, viz the bar code reader).

bill is usefull in cases say the board carrying a month / year of 12/2007 but u actually got it 3 months later in 03/2008 and then if ur board goes kaput in 03/11 , their systems would show warranty only till 12/2010....then bill is usefull in proving u got it later and hence u are eligible from the purchase date (which everyone is)

now top notch infotrix doesnt deal in Biostar , i dont think they will accept rma , biostar sale and service is done by Abacus .
