Issue with the Triband account

I am unable to connect to the internet.
The ADSL light keeps on blinking. PPPoe light comes on for some time and then goes off so its an issue of frequent disconnect. It's been going on for the past one month. I am using D-link adsl Router with the USB and the Lan connection. I have connected the router using the USB cable. Sometimes it stays there for an hour works for sometime and then I am unable to use it say for a days time at a stretch.

Already reinstalled the operating system.
Using Windows XP SP2.
Ram : 256MB
Celeron 1.x GHZ
What could be the possible issue ?

i thnk there is some problem in the phone line. or

u r ADSL modem is faulty

i dnt thnk there is any problem in u r pc

u shld contact u r telephone office and register a complaint

or if the modem is faulty then replace it

first check if u r modem is working correctly
 
Was facing same issues with my triband connection called MTNL and when they checked my phone line there was aearthing issue
Its fixed now by MTNL line incharge guys
CALL MTNL on 1504 and let them know about the fault in the phone line
 
I had a similar problem a couple of days back . I was told that MTNL had put some new device in their tel. exchange so instead of taking the tel. line from my house for the modem i had to take it from telephone connection box outside my house :( . Had contacted the area line man for the trouble .
 
Well even I had the same problem since many days.
I had called up the Mtnl call center and hell those babu's r like nuts handling 2mbps lines.:S
U won't believe it, after all the thing's me made me config on my router, he says that there is a problem with my browser.:@ :@ :@
Even my younger brother wouldn't give such a silly reply.
Well presently I can't do anything and i guess I will have to continue to bear their nonsense until some miracle doesn't happen on it's own.
Well it seem's like many people r facing issue's on Mtnl these days.:ashamed:
