whoa !! congrat's on the beauty .. long back when I had first seen the Civic after it's launch . I fell in love with it , it was like love at first sight. :P

A Civic with side skirts , a nice ICE setup and angel eyes front head lights has always been my practical dream car :D.

Yes, I've seen those "angel eyes" - but in pics only - sure looks sweet! No modding/ICEing for me for now - maybe in a year or two :D

Make sure you open the youtube videos directly and click the HD button and turn up the volume for maximum effect!

Superb choice Vishal Sir.. People always get into the nitty gritties trying to defend other similarly priced brands like Toyota. I personally feel that Civic is an excellently balanced car and is worth even more than the money you shell out for it. Congrats again! :D
 
31st we are having a PSP meet at count's place... you can drop in... dang I need to get my driver license :@
And for God sakes stop working on weekends... its not worth it... got realization just sometime back :bleh:
 
i dont (hardly ever have) work on weekends (as far as i can) :D

i'll take a pass/miss on 31st - you guys yenjoi the PSP slugfest - but the offer of CCD/Costa treat is always open when a good date can be set for any takers to gather :)

Some mileage figures:

Filled up on Tuesday morning and drove to/from work for four days in office time traffic. Pune does have lots of traffic but I wouldn't call it bumper-to-bumper - it is slow but steady. Maintained mostly 2000 rpm (plus or minus 500) in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears occasionally gently going to 3000 rpm during starts or overtaking. Ran the A/C on 25/Auto about half the time but that wouldn't make much difference in current cool climate. The digital FE meter hovered around 11.3 during the first two days (2000 rpm) then climbed to 11.9 when I stayed mostly at 1500 rpm. First fill odometer reading was 147 and today's reading was 219 when full tank took 5.87 litres (nozzle click to nozzle click) with the trip meter showing 71.6 km. That's about 12.2 kmpl for Pune city driving during office rush hour traffic. Digital meter readout showed 11.7 kmpl. During the Diwali weekend when I mostly drove briskly in less traffic the readout was about 14 kmpl but didnt check actual numbers that time.

Next mileage check will be between first and second service when I plan to combine weekday/weekend/gentle/brisk in-city driving. Will only go on highways (Mumbai/Lonavala/Mahabaleshwar or even Hyderabad perhaps) after the 1000 km engine break-in is completed.

thanks, no i've only seen the cruze on TV/web not in real life but it sure looks good :) petrol version should be even better... wasnt interested in the diesel version.
 
well i dont know about the old civic so cant say/compare. so far i havent faced problems with mine in pune... plus other people (on tbhp) seem to "confirm" that yes indeed it has been "addressed" maybe not entirely "fixed"...
 
hmm... also did the dealer give some discounts and goodies??

reason : we're buying another C+ segment car n i'm looking at civic as well...
