Using same mobo and CMOS battery drains very heavily not even lasting for a week. I am keeping the system always connected to mains power in order not to lose BIOS settings and date.

Strange, I have the same mobo since 2018 and have not once changed the battery. Look into getting it RMA'd. Or change the battery to a legit KTS one, not the counterfeits.
