Damn that's so darn easy! Thanks for the headsup. :)

Not sure if I should be doing it, but yeah do list out the apps which could be useful after JB'ing.

PS: If you can get hold of a MBP/Hackintosh based PC from somewhere, download Xcode 3.2.6/4.0 and enable the multi-finger gestures. They are awesome!

Update after JB ipad2 : I am noticing some lag :S.

Started downloading Xcode 30 mins to go :).Time to call a friend and do the rest .

Edit : Now that every one is going to enjoy the JB for ipad 2,how about showing some appreciation to the developer by donating money

Is the lag still persistent and noticeable? I don't see a reason why I should JB mine though. :P

Can someone point me to an application like VLC but is free and can play .mkv, .avi and other popular media file formats? VLC seems to be discontinued and the other application is a paid one.

PS: Did you unlock the multi-finger gestures yet?
 
Lag is gone :).

Why u want VLC like application when there is VLC :P.Just Jailbreak and install Installous.

Yet to do that multi-touch part,kind of busy with reports .Will do after July 19th :).

Need some help YGPM.

Cos I thought since Apple pulled VLC from their app store. :P

Need some help with Installous. Have you installed it after JB'ing the iPad? And what was that initial lag you were referring to?
 
VLC cant be installed without Jailbreak as the app has been removed by app store.

The lag was due to a stupid cydia tweak something pertaining to folders which i installed :ashamed:.

Yes I did. Called off my ipad2 sale after JB'ing :D. I'm just loving it with access to all the apps now :)

Its random issue i guess. For me installous worked after installing App sync. As you said, it worked directly for many.
 
Installous has inbuilt itunes sync which never failed on me.

Some one here did not know the use of Installous till date :P.It is one of the primary reason for JBing.
 
Alright so jailbroke my iPad 2 and installed Installous. After installing one application (VLC), none of the applications turned up on Installous citing 'API Error'. There were several workarounds posted in other forums such as restarting Wi-Fi, restarting the device, uninstalling Installous and re-installing it etc. But anyhow, I am now able to syn any .api files using iTunes. :D

Installed RAGE HD and it was AWESOME! Stopped it for now. Will continue playing during my commutes. Have a trip planned for home on 24th and I have a bunch of iOS titles to be played. :ohyeah:

Its called ipa files not .api files :P.

Even i get that API error but i can still search and download apps.

There are zillions of them difficult to suggest one.Most of them are free if not there are repo's who give them for free :).
