Jailbreak ipod touch 2g 8gb FW 3.1.3

Hi guys,
Just bought an ipod touch 2g 8gb and it is on firmware 3.1.3.
After some googleing i found out it is not possible to jailbreak the 3.1.3 FW but the links were quite old. So is it possible to Jailbreak. Is there any update?

I tried to jailbreak useing blackra1n. It shows the pop-up that it is jailbroken successfully but i cant see any blackra1n icon in the menu.

How to configure the app. store? Do you need a credit card to access the app. store?

Just a quick querry. Would we be able to use the iOS 4 ? Or will we have to wait for them developers to crack it ?

I mean FW version and OS version ? There is a difference naa ?

PS: Is this discussion legal on TE :s ?
