₹1999 as first payment and ₹501 as processing charges boils down to ₹2500. And if you opt for long term EMI, then price easily crosses 9k. That is some serious under-powered phone for a 9k budget with better alternatives available.
Jio had a complete different target audience in mind. They should have schemes according to that. Right now it's unworthy to be called "affordable" by any means.
 
No wonder why Pixels won't come to India..
I don't think making lots of money from pixels is what Google's aim is as far as India is concerned. If one removes the camera performance from consideration Pixel 4a was terribly overpriced at 30k. It came down to 24k, I think in recent sales. That's for SD730G and no IP rating. Hardware support for pixels is bad in India. They skipped India for 5 and 6. Hopefully they will rethink their stance regarding India by the time tensor matures. As far as general performance is considered we aren't missing much. But more players in market will be good for us.
