As for FUP - its become a daily part and parcel of life - after all when you are going for unlimited food - there too its served slowly after you 'download' too much :p

It's Possible for them to Offer unlimited plan. But Technically Its not possible for that price and that Much amount of Gb's. fivenet has also earlier offered "up to 10mbps Unlimited"
They would assume Customer would download heavily in the initial months and later slow down his pace assuming. Right now i don't See they allow you to download as much as you can download on Fivenet. They peer with NIXI that tells the story in Short a silent FUP is applicable.

No 5net,No joister,No You broadband.Apparently the say its not feasible.

Only left with crappy 7star , hathway or MTNL.

Ok so i know this is an old topic but I had something to share...
The prices above are for the LCO (local cable operators) not for individuals. so even if it says 12k for 16 MBPS & 15K for 25 MBPS per Annum you are at the mercy of your LCO to give you prices.

I contacted the LCO PromptNet in my area from the number given in the image. He told me 1 lac p.a. for 10 MBPS + 20 K for Fiber Optics. I told him to go to hell & disconnected the call.

Lolz. 10mbps shouldn't Cost more than 3,000 + taxes that too from a LCO or Local ISP unless they have spent crores in Infrastructure.
There are bunch of LCO near my area who sell 10mbps truly unlimited connection for 1k.

yeah i know, but the problem is there are no options in my area.

1. MTNL < sucky speeds, even sucky prices e.g. 2 MBPS @ 5k
2. ClassicNet < Local ISP, reseller, max speed 5 MBPS @ 4.8k lot of disconnects so i unsubscribed
3. PromptNet < Local ISP, reseller, have high speed plans but asks for a lot of money. i currently have his 4mbps plan @ 4.5k

is there anyway to report these idiots? i know TRAI does not put pricing guidelines but i think they should do it.
I directly contacted Joister and told them what the LCO is asking for the plan, I think they called the LCO and told them something because I got a call early morning from Promptnet, asking me why i emailed Joister when he told me the prices.

I told him i have the pamphlet from Joister which clearly mentions the prices, so I contacted them to confirm the same. He gave me some excuse like "he does not have enough bandwidth" " i give you good service" etc etc.

All the rates u mentioned are on yearly basis right? Because I use the mtnl 550 plan which includes rent free landline and 25 free calls.

And get 2 mbps at night 1mbps/512 kbps during the day. 0 downtime, 10-20 ping on cs servers...

Well u can't get anything better in this budget, unless the stay in Hyderabad.

ClassicNet ISP was from your Local MLA right? Well, I keep track of every other ISP that's present in India :p

Having Read your Earlier threads.. It Seems that you've Got limited Not so Good ISP's in your area and 4.5k for 4mbps is too pricey... Now its nowhere more than 999 for 4mbit/s at least in Hyderabad.

^ Yes I have limited options, I hate that so much.. I don't know how Hyderabad can get so much more bandwidth whereas Mumbai is so Pricey.

Hayai was my hope but that suckka is also staying out of Jogeshwari

I was thinking of getting MTNL FTTH but they say that I need atleast 5 - 6 people from my building and I have to get them. I told them that i will take 2 connections but will not advertise for MTNL.

I guess Mumbai has Cheaper bandwidth than Hyderabad because of availability of lot of Tier1 Bandwidth providers.
The Keyword in Hyderabad is Competition. One ISP started the war showing them how to make broadband plans and others followed suit to survive themselves Hence plans such as 4mbps UL for 750(or)999 is possible.

Hayai.. Do you still Realize that it was a Wanna be Guy's Dream project which has no Roadmap and Believe me that dude hasn't got ISP license(Latest List) from 2009? Even a Small Local area Operator Got an ISP license.. but He can't..

He plans to start... Sorry Started... is Starting.. :banghead: Learnt a lot of Grammar from these Fake Trolls on the Internet.
For more info please PM me.:p

I know it makes me feel sometimes that I should start an ISP but I don't have the financial support.
Provided minimum financial support, anyone can start an ISP.
But you should do all your home work and come out in the market. That will make it a real thing.
To Do Business even in a small area like you will need 50L initially> Reselling someone else bandwidth will be even less may be 35L?
