i just bought samsung s5333 . the price is 8900 rs. it fulfills all my requirements . i dont need 3g but i needed a phone with big screen and qwerty keypad. this phone has gps .but it has no maps application .which application should i download for gps .is google map compatible with bada os . kindly help as i wanted gps software . waze is not supported by bada.plus is there any navigation software which is supported by bada which gives turn by turn indication
 
^ its a bada OS phone........ it should support Route66 for maps and navigation....... for which maps can be downloaded from internet or 3g for india......
 
this is a bada phone but doesnot have route 66 .it does have google maps .looking for anything for navigation. on visiting the route 66 site it shows only windows mobile support.

i had a budget fixed at 10k although i could afford a higher budget also but i have sort of fixed this as the most amount i can splurge on phones . my main criteria were
touch and qwerty keypad ( i was very bad at typing on the touchscreen of my kp500)
wifi
gps

and no other phone in less than 10k fulfilled all the criteria .
it is a nice phone still havent used it much as i bought it today only .
first impression it attracts lot of finger prints. the build quality is ok ( all my reference points will be comparing it to my earlier kp500) but much better than lg.
it can have upto 10 panels to idle screen.. it can multitask.the sound quality is quite good still have not used my re2 with fiio e5 amplifier.
the camera quality is ok but there is no flash although the flash on all cameras are just cosmetic not any good but at least they can act as torch.
the touch is quite responsive as it is a capacitve touch screen .no prob in using wifi.
qwerty key pad is good .but the buttons are not raised so will take getting used to.
will post more when i get to know it better
 
nice buy. yes, Given the price of 9k, this phone really is a VFM.

@rupinder, how is the qwerty btw? is it comfortable?
 
the buttons are rubbery . i would have preffered plastic feeling buttons .but otherwise size is ok .spacing between buttons bit less . i am getting the hang of it now
 
Hey! Hope you have got a hang of the phone by now..!

I have got a Wave 525 yesterday, its a 533 sans the slider keypad I believe.
So what navigation app are you using? Any other apps recommended?

Guys if there is a thread already running on 525 discussions, please let me know..
