I just downgraded from Vista Business to XP x64. Now my computer wont connect to the Internet. I went to the device manager to see what the problem was and my 3Com 10/100 PCI NIC w/3xp (3CR990B-TX-M) network card is not working. It says in the device status that it cannot start (Code 10). What's wrong and how do I fix it?

Install lan drivers. Vista might have installed them automatically. See the mobo cd or card driver cd and get it installed.

I cant find the drivers for this particular card anywhere though??

if u got another lan port connect to net and enable automatic driver update. Windows will update drivers automatically.

else download driver update pro.

U are dumb to downgrade... upgrade to Windows build 7600
Hmmm maybe I'm trying to get the most power out my shitty system with a Windows OS??

i believe u will have to setup ur network adapter again. IP address setting would have been erased.

also if that doesn't work, uninstall the network adapter form the device manager and reinstall it.

UM

Well in that case its a smart thing to do. Go to your mobo's site, download latest drivers then try :cool2:
