i have seen around 6 k800i's that have this message when u makin a call saying "ciphering not provided by service provider insecure transmission" if u press yes it cuts the call if u do not do anything ignore it it works normally. goes away in the call itself. what is the error exactly and how do u disable it ?

What is network ciphering?
The Network Ciphering icon appears when there is congestion in the network. Ciphering (encryption) is removed from calls. Operators can customize this, so the icon (a triangle with an exclamation point icon) does not appear.

I guess, sometime back somebody else had posted about the same error but with the W950i...i have the p990i, but i havent encountered any such message during calls... is your phone a grey market unit? Its quite possible tht it may be having a firmware meant for the european circles and hence trying to use a feature which may not be available with the indian gsm service providers.. do check ur firmware version..thru SE website u shud get the idea if its the firmware meant for this region or not... cant really think of any other reason why this niggling problem is happening with a few SE phones..
