CPU/Mobo K8N-E Dead ????

Guys,whenever i try to start my A64 PC it says

"BAD BIOS Checksum.....Starting Recovery....." and just gets stuck there.

I read up on the net and found that this is where Crashfree kicks in and reflashes the BIOS frm the given support CD.

i tried putting the CD in the CD ROM drive but no use it just stays on that screen.:(

also copied K8N-E.rom file on to a floppy and still no good :(

is the MB dead?

i read that the BIOS chip on the MB can be replaced.

ne idea where i can get it replaced?cost?

MB's warranty got over so cant return it.

The only thing i had done is update the BIOS to version 1011 a week ago and it was working perfectly until yesterday.

Help :(
 
why dont u go through ur motherboard manual..... and and try resetting(or clear) ur bios using the jumper..... or remove the battery form the mother board for 30 min...and put it back... hope this helps
